Our Mission Statement

The Society of Anthropological Undergraduate Scholars (SAUS) holds space here at UCR for student engagement with the holistic study of Anthropology: the study of humans, for humans. At SAUS, we forge peer bonds, empower academic engagement, and support professional development through socio-cultural events, guest lectures, panels, weekly meetings, and more. We aim to foster a community of social scholars that expresses the empowering empathy and action of anthropology: the most scientific of the humanities and the most humanistic of the sciences!
