Graduate Program Application

Thank you for your interest regarding graduate study in Anthropology at the University of California, Riverside. This page provides information on the procedures involved in applying to the UCR Anthropology Department Graduate Program.

It is important to consider your interests in the field and the extent to which they are complemented by the interests of our faculty members. The Anthropology Department Graduate Program provides Doctoral and Master levels research oriented training and encourages a strong mentoring relationship between the student and a faculty member. Thus, it is important that the research being done at UCR fits well with your interests. If you feel that your interests are reflected in the Department's curriculum, we encourage you to complete the Preliminary Information. The Preliminary Information goes only to the Anthropology Department and we are sure the faculty would be pleased to evaluate your interests and qualifications before we receive the official graduate school application (which usually takes longer to complete).

If you are ready to apply, please complete the official UCR Graduate School Application. This is the application that serves as the "official" application to the Anthropology Department's Graduate Program. The UCR Graduate Division provides more information about the official application procedures.
